The Marvel Cinematic Universe is far from the only corner where the Avengers are operating. In fact, a new Avengers project outside the MCU has been announced, though fans are disappointed with the lineup.
Disney Plus has become a hub for all things Marvel. As such, plenty of stand-alone specials have been released, including the upcoming special LEGO Marvel Avengers: Code Red. Disney has teamed up with LEGO in the past for such projects as their LEGO Star Wars specials. For Marvel, however, it looks like they’ll have to try extra hard to win fans over.
One Reddit user deciphered from the special’s posters which Marvel superheroes would be appearing as part of the new Avengers line-up. Interestingly, it appears to be led by both Sam Wilson’s and Steve Roger’s respective Captain Americas. After revealing the total line-up, however, fans were left desiring more.
Here’s the allegedly complete lineup:
Captain America (Sam)
Captain America (Steve)
Black Widow
Iron Man
Thor
Hulk
Black Panther
As you can see below, here are some of the responses from disappointed fans:

It’s unfortunate that Vision and Wanda Maximoff aren’t present in the lineup. Especially since those characters seem to be the ones that fans wish to see the most. But with the special no doubt having the sense of humor to include a number of Easter eggs and special appearances, hopefully we’ll still see the characters appear. After all, these LEGO specials can have all sorts of surprises as the various LEGO Star Wars specials have proven.
Fans will be able to see LEGO Marvel Avengers: Code Red when it hits Disney Plus on October 27, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional Marvel news as we have it. Hopefully fans will still find something to enjoy in LEGO Marvel Avengers: Code Red, even if the lineup isn’t perfect.
