The MCU‘s Spider-Man franchise has introduced a number of villains over the years. This includes quite a few characters from Spider-Man: Homecoming that fans are still eager to see. Now it looks like one such Spider-Man villain is finally making their big return.
The alleged return was shared by insider @MyTimeToShineH on X. Of course, there weren’t many details available, but it’s very clear on who could be returning. According to their tweet, actor Michael Mando is said to be returning as Scorpion for the first time since Spider-Man: Homecoming.

It’s unclear how exactly his character will return. But the last time we saw him, he was interacting with Michael Keaton’s Adrian Toomes. It seemed likely that the two would be organizing some kind of group of villains, possibly a “Sinister Six” supervillain team, to try and take down Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. As such, we may still see this plan pan out with the next Spider-Man movie.
Otherwise, there are plenty of other Marvel projects on the horizon. And considering how interconnected the MCU tends to be, there are plenty of opportunities for Michael Mando to reappear as Scorpion. It could be in the upcoming Daredevil revival Daredevil: Born Again. Or, for whatever reason, it could even be in an upcoming Sony project given how the Multiverse tends to cross these characters over.
Either way, it’d be great seeing his final moments from Spider-Man: Homecoming finally pay off with a big return. Especially all these years later and following two direct sequels to Spider-Man: Homecoming. It’d be a great way to bring things full circle.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates on Michael Mando and his potential MCU return as the Spider-Man villain Scorpion as we have them. In the meantime, we’ll have to wait and see how Spider-Man 4 continues to develop.
