The next installment in the Saw film franchise is bringing back plenty of familiar elements for fans. This includes the return of the iconic Billy puppet used by Jigsaw to speak to his victims. Now, as you can see below, the first look at Billy the Puppet in Saw X has been released online.
The puppet was revealed in a new image that fans can acquire in a fun viral marketing campaign. If you dial the number 310-564-8144 you will be greeted with a message from Tobin Bell‘s John Kramer aka Jigsaw. Furthermore, he’ll ask you to text the number with, “I want to play a game.” This triggers a response with a link to the image.
Here’s the official tweet to call the number in addition to the image of Billy the Puppet from Saw X:

It’s an exciting way to tease the upcoming sequel. Especially since the new film will be a return to the franchise’s roots. In fact, Saw X is set between the events of the original film and its follow-up, Saw II. After so many films that started to stray from the original concept, especially the most recent entry, this should be a refreshing change of pace. And, with that in mind, the Billy puppet is a perfect representation of that. And with that in mind, the trailer should be released soon as well.
Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter director Kevin Greutert directed this new installment of the franchise. He previously edited the first five Saw films as well along with Jigsaw.
Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith return to portray their respective characters from the franchise, Jigsaw and Amanda Young. The film also includes newcomers Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Joshua Okamoto, Octavio Hinojosa, Synnøve Macody Lund, Steven Brand, and Michael Beach.
This next installment in the Saw film franchise, Saw X, is scheduled to be released on September 29, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional Saw updates as we have them.
