The stories of Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau are all set to collide in the upcoming MCU movie The Marvels. Now a new trailer has been released for the Captain Marvel sequel, which shows just how much further The Marvels is set to take the fan-favorite characters.
Of course, the film is not just a continuation of Captain Marvel. It also follows the events of the Disney Plus series Ms. Marvel and the surprise ending of the show. As such, viewers will finally get to unravel the mystery as to why Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, and now Monica Rambeau are suddenly connected.
Here’s the new official trailer for The Marvels:
It’s worth noting that the film was initially delayed several times before Marvel Studios and Disney settled on the November release date. As such, we’ll have to see how the film has ultimately turned out. For now, though, it looks like an exciting space adventure. Especially for those who were fans of the first Captain Marvel film or the series Ms. Marvel.
The plot for the next Marvel Cinematic Universe adventure is as follows:
“While investigating a wormhole linked to the Kree, Monica Rambeau’s powers become entangled with those of Kamala Khan and Carol Danvers. The trio team up to determine why they are swapping places with each other every time they use their powers.”
The upcoming MCU blockbuster The Marvels was directed by Candyman director Nia DaCosta from a script written by Megan McDonnell.
The cast for the highly-anticipated film includes Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. Samuel L. Jackson also reprises his role as Nick Fury for the film.
The Marvels is set to hit theaters everywhere on November 10, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional MCU news as we have it.
