Fans of Dune were recently treated to an incredible adaptation of the iconic novel from filmmaker Denis Villeneuve. Of course, the film only adapted a portion of the story, with Dune: Part Two aiming to complete the narrative. Now a new trailer for Dune: Part Two has been released by Warner Bros.
The new footage confirms that this upcoming adaptation will continue to faithfully retell the story of the book. And, in order to do so, many characters – including Chani played by Zendaya – are being expanded upon if not completely introduced for the first time. This means that Dune: Part Two will be a must-see event for any fans of its predecessor or the original novel. Especially if this newly-released trailer is anything to go by.
Here’s the new trailer released by Warner Bros for Dune: Part Two:
Audiences only have a few more months left to wait before Dune: Part Two finally hits theaters. The film is scheduled to be released this November. As such, it also seems likely that we’ll have many more glimpses at the upcoming film in the near future.
The new sequel is said to “explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”
Denis Villeneuve directed Dune: Part Two following his work on the first film. He co-wrote the film with Jon Spaihts based on the novel by Frank Herbert.
The ensemble cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, Christopher Walken, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Léa Seydoux, Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem.
Fans will be able to see Dune: Part Two on November 3, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the highly-anticipated follow-up as we have them.
