The upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film The Marvels is finally headed to theaters later this year. Interestingly, the film has already had several test screenings, and now the post-credits scene from one such screening of The Marvels has been reportedly leaked online.
The post-credits scene was shared on Twitter by insider @CanWeGetToast. Of course, this should be taken with a grain of salt, but it certainly seems to line up with what we know about the film and the MCU going forward. As such, if you don’t want spoilers, this is your final warning.
Here’s how they describe the alleged Marvels post-credits sequence:
“In The Marvels Nick Fury has a tablet for keeping tabs on all the heroes currently active. At the end of the film, Kamala takes the tablet and tracks down Kate Bishop. To Kate’s surprise, Kamala shows up at the Bishop residence. Kamala tells Kate about the events of The Marvels and how the Young Heroes need to team up. She asks Kate, ‘Did you know Scott Lang has a daughter?’ – setting up the Young Avengers.”
Of course, if this is true, it’s unknown what project these characters could appear in. There is no Young Avengers movie scheduled, and Kevin Feige has insisted there are no plans for one, so it’s possible that this could be a Disney Plus series. Though anything is possible – and we’ll probably know more if this happens to be true when the film is released.
The Marvels was directed by Candyman director Nia DaCosta from a script written by Megan McDonnell.
The cast includes Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. Samuel L. Jackson also reprises his role as Nick Fury for the film.
The Marvels is set to hit theaters everywhere on November 10, 2023. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional Brie Larson updates or news on The Marvels as we have it.
