The Spider-Man movie franchise has expanded in some fascinating ways in recent years. Obviously fans are familiar with the live-action adaptations of the franchise. But animated films like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and the newly-released Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse have likewise become popular. Now Spider-Verse star Hailee Steinfeld is bringing both worlds together by dressing up as a real-life Gwen Stacy.
Steinfeld voices Gwen Stacy throughout both of the Spider-Verse films. It’s a role she’ll reprise for the upcoming sequel Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. And while she already plays Kate Bishop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many fans would similarly love to see her play a live-action version of Stacy. This is echoed by fans who love her outfit as Hailee Steinfeld effortlessly becomes Gwen Stacy in live-action.
With these photos in mind, it’s unknown if Steinfeld will ever have the chance to actually play Stacy in live-action. Especially with her role as Kate Bishop in the MCU. But it’s always possible that Sony could have her portray the character in their separate cinematic universe which includes the likes of Venom and Morbius.
Here are the photos – as well as what fans are saying on social media about Hailee Steinfeld being dressed like Gwen Stacy:

Of course some fans aren’t fond of the idea:
Unfortunately just like almost everyone else in this trilogy has aged out for their characters

Why do we want her again? Would be nice to get an unknown actor with the skill to act instead of redoing Kate bishop.

Isn’t she already Kate Bishop?

I hope to god she doesn’t play Gwen in live action
