The DCU is finally getting off the ground as work continues on getting Superman: Legacy and Batman: The Brave and the Bold off the ground. As such, plenty of names are reported to be in the mix for upcoming DCU film projects, and this now includes actor Bill Skarsgård.
Fans are familiar with Bill Skarsgård for his roles that include the villain Pennywise in The Flash director Andy Muschietti’s IT films. And with Muschietti also said to be attached to the DCU’s Batman movie, it isn’t too surprising to see that Skarsgård might also have a part in the franchise.
Though, as shared via insider Jeff Sneider, it apparently won’t be the same Batman film that Muschietti could be attached to. Rather, Skarsgård is said to be involved with one of the other upcoming DCU films. As of this writing, that would mean one of the following films: Superman: Legacy, The Authority, Swamp Thing, or Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
Here’s the tweet where Sneider teased the news:
Supposedly, he’s already being eyed for a different DC movie 😉 https://t.co/yMffR7arvf

Of course, we’ll have to wait and see if Skarsgård’s alleged involvement pans out to be true. But it would certainly be a popular choice for DCU, especially as Skarsgård continues to grow in popularity following the success of John Wick: Chapter 4 and his other projects.
It’s worth noting that Andy Muschietti is attached to an IT prequel series on Max. Though Skarsgård has yet to be confirmed for the show, it seems likely that he’ll return to portray Pennywise. As such, it’ll be interesting to have so many potential collaborations between the two in the coming years.
Fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional DCU and Bill Skarsgård updates as we have them. For now, it’ll be interesting to see what possible role Bill Skarsgård might have in the newest DC universe.
