The latest take on Fantastic Four is currently in the works. The upcoming film will be the first adaptation of the property set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As such, fans are eager to know who will join the film’s cast. Now a new rumor has surfaced which suggests an exciting possibility with Margot Robbie.
As shared via insider Daniel Richtman, Marvel has reportedly offered the role of Sue Storm to Margot Robbie. Of course, this should be taken with a grain of salt. And even if it’s true – she’s only been offered the role. She may still make the decision to pass.
Fans will recognize Robbie for having played the first live-action iteration of Harley Quinn across several DC films. As such, she makes an interesting choice to play Sue Storm, and such a casting decision would no doubt melt the brains of moviegoers everywhere.
Of course, this follows several other reports for who could be playing who in Fantastic Four. Other rumors suggest that Adam Driver could play Reed Richards while Paul Mescal is said to have been offered the role of Johnny Storm. Though these reports have yet to be confirmed by Marvel – fans know they want huge name actors to play the superhero team this time around. Other names reported to have been approached to play Sue Storm include Mila Kunis, Jodie Comer, and Allison Williams.
Hopefully we’ll have more details soon. It’s clear that these roles need to be cast sooner rather than later. Especially if they hope to begin production in the near future.
Matt Shankman will direct Fantastic Four while Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer write the screenplay.
The new Fantastic Four iteration is currently scheduled to hit theaters on February 14, 2025. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for additional updates on the highly-anticipated MCU project as we have them.
