Netflix’s two seasons for The Witcher have been beloved by fans of the multimedia franchise. And, despite Henry Cavill exiting the series before its fourth season, he’s still starring in the third season of the show. Now fans can see the trailer for The Witcher Season 3 as shared below.
The teaser trailer indicates that this third season will be following certain trends with Netflix exclusives as of late. Specifically, the third season will be divided into two volumes this summer. As such, fans won’t be able to binge watch the entire season in one sitting, which should make the hype last for a little while. We’ve already seen this tactic used to great effect with the latest season of Stranger Things.
Here’s the official trailer for The Witcher Season 3:
It’s certainly an exciting look at the show. Unfortunately, as mentioned, Henry Cavill will no longer be involved after this season. Rather, the fourth season of the series will be led by Liam Hemsworth. It’s certainly an interesting change and we’ll have to see how he handles the material. And how they intend to go from Cavill leading the series to Hemsworth by the end of this season. Of course, at least it still gives us the opportunity to have an exciting two-part third season with Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.
Fans will be able to see the third season of The Witcher premiere via Netflix on June 29. The next part of this season, however, won’t be released until a month later on July 27. It’ll be quite a wait but it should make for an exciting gap for any Witcher fans keeping up with the show. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the fan-favorite Netflix series as we have them. Hopefully we’ll have the full official trailer for the season sooner rather than later.
