On occasion, Netflix has issued warnings to its viewers over certain films and shows. Now Netflix is issuing a different kind of warning for a series newly-added to its streaming service.
As you can see below, the @NetflixUK Twitter account used social media to issues this particular warning. It appears that some users were complaining about the series Obsession which was just added. The series includes one particularly sexual scene, and furthermore, Netflix has now decided to warn any viewers that “made the (questionable decision) to watch” the show with their parents.
Here’s how the warning that the UK Netflix account released begins:
“If you’ve made the (questionable) decision to watch Obsession with your parents, these are the moments you’ll probably want to excuse yourself,” they begin.
At which point they release time stamps for the show’s four episodes that fans might want to skip:
Ep1: 26m14s
Ep2: 00m32s
Ep2: 22m00s
Ep3: 10m15s
Ep3: 25m58s
Ep4: 02m15s

Of course, because it is “questionable” as even Netflix notes, one must hope there aren’t any viewers watching Obsession with their family. But on the off chance that they are – or that you simply might want to skip the more explicit scenes – then this warning should definitely come in handy.
The series, based on Damage by Josephine Hart, stars Richard Armitage, Charlie Murphy, Indira Varma, and Sonera Angel. The series currently consists of four episodes all based on the 1991 novel. It was previously adapted as a film titled Damage in 1992. That particular iteration of the story starred Juliette Binoche, Miranda Richardson, and Jeremy Irons. As such, it’s interesting seeing the material adapted yet again for new audiences, and to such an extent that a warning had to be issued.
Netflix subscribers can currently stream the series Obsession on Netflix’s streaming service. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional Netflix news as we have it.
