The upcoming MCU film The Marvels is set to continue storylines from both Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel. However, it’s just been revealed by Disney that The Marvels will now face a release date delay.
This is actually the second delay that The Marvels has faced. It was first expected to be released on February 17, 2023, but it switched places with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania for a July 28 release date. Now it’s this date that has been switched yet again.
As announced by Disney, The Marvels won’t be released until November 10, 2023. Though the studio did share the first poster for the highly-anticipated blockbuster. As you can see below:

See you November 10 ✨ #TheMarvels pic.twitter.com/bXJNcJ2aw5— Brie Larson (@brielarson) February 17, 2023
In any case, at least we can see Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel on the new poster. It’s definitely disappointing that fans will have to wait until November to see the film. Of course, now that the first poster has been unveiled, hopefully we’ll have additional glimpses in the near future. A trailer could very well be coming our way sooner rather than later. Though we’ll just have to see what happens.
The Marvels was helmed by Candyman director Nia DaCosta from a screenplay written by Megan McDonnell.
The cast includes familiar Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau. Samuel L. Jackson will also reprise his role as Nick Fury for the film.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding The Marvels or the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we have them. This news about the release date being delayed certainly is not what fans anxious to see the film were hoping for. But hopefully this decision works out for the best.
