With Captain America: Civil War being released to critical and commercial success, talk has now moved onto the highly anticipated Avengers: Infinity War which is due for release on May 4th 2018. In a recent interview with Nerdist, writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who have written for Marvel on 4 different occasions (soon to be 6), have revealed that it’s highly likely we’ll be seeing everybody’s favorite team of Guardians in the next Avengers.
“Let me put it this way. You know who owns that gauntlet, right. And you know who’s in another movie and his kids are in that movie…you do the math.”
Well the math isn’t very hard. As you’ll all know, Thanos is the owner of the Infinity Gauntlet and is the father to both Nebula and Gamora. As we saw in Guardians of the Galaxy, the smooth talking Peter Quill who was able to woo the strangely attractive Gamora and bring her onto his team of bandits. It’ll be interesting to see the dynamics between both superhero teams as they face their most deadly threat yet. With an extensive catalogue of characters set to star, we can only hope that the same success that was applied to its characters in Civil War can be transferred here.
What do you think to this news? Are you excited to see both teams come together? Or do you fear that it’ll become overcrowded? Sound off down below!
