The next two entries in the Avengers series are currently in the works. Now some new details suggest that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty will include a rather surprising ally.
As noted via Heavy Spoilers on YouTube, they believe to have some new information regarding Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. And they claim a previous character will be making a return for the new film.
Specifically, they’ve suggested that none other than Nathaniel Richards aka He Who Remains will be appearing in the film. This particular character was first introduced in the Disney Plus series Loki before he was killed by Sylvie. It turns out that he was watching over his Variants in an effort to keep them under control. With his death, however, they appear to have been set loose across the Multiverse.
As for how he’ll become an ally for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, death isn’t much of an issue. In fact, the Heavy Spoilers team claim that he’ll be appearing as Nathaniel Richards – his identity prior to becoming He Who Remains. This version of the character will team up with the rest of the Avengers to battle Kang the Conqueror. Furthermore, he’ll allegedly assist the team in getting more superheroes from across the Multiverse in Avengers: Secret Wars.
Obviously all of this should be taken with a grain of salt. But given what we know the next two Avengers films deal with – namely Kang the Conqueror and the Multiverse – it does seem to be a likely possibility. As such, we’ll have to see what happens in the coming future regarding the films.
Destin Daniel Cretton is attached to direct Avengers: The Kang Dynasty with Jeff Loveness writing the film’s screenplay.
Fans will be able to see Avengers: The Kang Dynasty in theaters on May 2, 2025 with the follow-up Avengers: Secret Wars in theaters on May 1, 2026. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates and more concrete information as we have it.
