The Halloween season has been a great opportunity for fans to revisit some beloved horror franchises. As such, the HBO Max streaming service has been the perfect place for many horror fans hoping to binge the Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise. Sadly, this coming November, HBO Max will actually lose every film in the series.
As shared via ComicBook, the Nightmare on Elm Street films will be removed on November 30. This still gives some fans about a month to check out every film in the franchise if they haven’t had an opportunity yet via HBO Max. It’s certainly surprising, considering how many fans enjoy HBO Max just for being Freddy Krueger central. Here’s the list of installments that HBO Max currently has to offer, which will soon be removed next month:
A Nightmare on Elm Street, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, Freddy vs, Jason, and the 2010 Nightmare on Elm Street remake. As you can see, HBO Max has just about everything except for the television series Freddy’s Nightmares. Thus it’s a shame that it’ll all be removed soon.
Of course, this likely isn’t goodbye forever. As fans and streaming service users have realized by this point, many streaming services are currently competing with one another. This means licenses are exchanged almost daily, and as such, we’ll probably see the Nightmare on Elm Street movies pop up somewhere else. Sadly, however, the beloved horror film franchise won’t be available on HBO Max for the time being.
It was mentioned above that Freddy’s Nightmares is not available on HBO Max. And, while that’s unexpected to change, the classic television series is currently available to stream elsewhere. Fans can actually tune into Freddy’s Nightmares for free via Tubi. So while HBO Max might not have our Freddy fix, Tubi has fans covered.
