Actor Christopher Meloni, known for his roles in such projects as Syfy’s Happy and Law & Order: SVU, has taken the opportunity to partner with exercise company Peloton. The 61-year-old performer decided to go for a workout completely nude in a new Peloton advertisement. As noted in the caption for the post, it was uploaded in time for “National Nude Day.”
The advertisement, which you can view below, opens with Christopher Meloni stating the following:
“Apparently, some people think the way I work out is strange,” he begins. “Honestly, I don’t get it.”
He then proceeds to do his bicep curls while completely naked. This is only revealed after the camera continues moving further and further back – until his entire body is exposed. Indeed, now we know why people think the way he works out “is strange,” as stated in the opening. It’s because he’s totally nude. The only censorship is a small blurred box over his private parts.
Eventually, Meloni manages to squat and turn on his Peloton app. It’s at this moment that the commercial reveals its true purpose – to advertise Peloton. Jokingly, Meloni explains that it’s merely the use of Peloton that people think is strange, though we humorously know the real reason.
Here’s the video:

“I don’t think using the Peloton App is strange at all,” he further claims.
Of course, the commercial continues with plenty of other workouts and naked positions. It’s enough to have social media freaking out – so perhaps Peloton made the right decision when it came to this advertisement. Fans clearly can’t get enough and there was probably no better fit for the commercial than the 61-year-old star of Happy. The advertisement definitely must have gotten some people to get to work on their daily workouts as well.
Of course, Meloni has apparently stated in past interviews that he does work out naked. So perhaps this commercial is a little more truthful than fans might realize. In any case, it’ll be interesting to see what kind of ad Peloton might try to invent to top this one.
