As one might imagine would happen on Twitter, someone’s butt has thousands of users online involved in an ongoing debate. One user shared a poster for Jurassic World that they claim was photoshopped to have Bryce Dallas Howard’s butt appear smaller.
The user shared the image alongside another photo featuring Bryce Dallas Howard and included the following caption:
“Bryce Dallas Howard’s butt is so big they had to Photoshop it down in the Jurassic World poster”
Here’s the original post where the two images of Bryce Dallas Howard’s butt were compared:

While at first glance there is a notable size difference – it isn’t because of photoshop. In actuality, as you can tell by Bryce Dallas Howard’s hair in the second photo, there’s a time difference. As verified via Newsweek, this second photo was taken from the 5th Annual Reel Stories, Real Lives event from 2016. Whereas with Jurassic World, that particular film was shot several years before this event occurred. As such, the answer is simple – she merely gained weight. This is especially obvious because she would have just recently starred in the Black Mirror episode Nosedive – where she gained thirty pounds for the role.
It seems safe to say then that this is just a case of the internet spreading false information and objectifying women. Whether as a joke or not, human bodies change over time, and that includes losing or gaining weight. Especially for an actor, that tends to come with the territory, as many celebrities lose and gain weight depending on the roles they acquire. This just so happens to be the roles that Bryce Dallas Howard lost and gained weight for.
Meanwhile, the latest installment in the Jurassic Park franchise – Jurassic World: Dominion – is currently playing in theaters.
Colin Trevorrow directed the film from a screenplay he penned alongside Emily Carmichael and Derek Connolly.
Original Jurassic Park stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum returned for the new outing. Meanwhile, Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt and the aforementioned Bryce Dallas Howard are also reprised their roles. The cast also includes Justice Smith, Daniella Pineda, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Dichen Lachman, Mamoudou Athie, DeWanda Wise, Scott Haze, and Campbell Scott.
