Fans are anticipating the return of Chris Hemsworth to the big screen when Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters. The film marks the fourth entry in the Thor franchise, meanwhile it will be close to Chris Hemsworth’s tenth appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Of course, before most of those entries, Hemsworth was part of another blockbuster – Snow White and the Huntsman – which was released just after The Avengers. Now Chris Hemsworth has discussed his part in the film and, in particular, a surprising moment where co-star Kristen Stewart punched him.
As revealed in an interview with GQ, the incident occurred when they were shooting a scene for the film. It was a scene in which the Huntsman is trying to assist Snow White while they’re in the Dark Forest. At this time, however, it was explained that Kristen Stewart punched Chris Hemsworth by accident while filming.
Here’s how he explained it:
“Oh yeah, I was more upset she didn’t continue on through the take. She kind of hit me and immediately went, ‘Oh my god! I’m so sorry.’ I was like ‘That would’ve been the perfect, most truthful take we had. I think she was more upset than I was.”
It’s nice to hear that Chris Hemsworth was a good sport about the event. After all, accidents do often happen, especially on film sets. It is too bad they couldn’t have used the take, however, as he said. Some of the best takes happen when there are genuine reactions involved. In any case, the film still went on to become a blockbuster success, and even spawned a continuation albeit without the participation of Kristen Stewart. In any case, both of their careers have continued to blossom just fine, so it seems like everything has worked out for the two celebrities.
