The lawsuit between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has revealed some truly interesting details about the ex-couple’s life together. While public opinion has seemed to move in support of Johnny Depp, that means Amber Heard has received most of the backlash. As a response to this, Amber Heard has tearfully revealed in court that she’s received “death threats” while being “harassed, humiliated, threatened every single day.”
As noted via USA Today, she expressed the following in her statement:
“People want to kill me and they tell me that every day,” Heard said with tears. “Johnny threatened … promised me that if I ever left him, he’d make me think of him every single day.”
She further emphasized how the “trauma” of her alleged abuse continues to haunt her.
“Every single day I have to relive the trauma.”
She also denied that she’s spent any amount of her time in the courtroom snickering.
“I’m not sitting in this courtroom snickering,” she said, seemingly in response to Depp’s courtroom testimony. “This is horrible and this is painful and this is humiliating for any human being.”
Amber Heard eventually continued to discuss the “hundreds of death threats” she’s received.
“I receive hundreds of death threats … people mocking my testimony,” she continued. “It has been agonizing, painful and the most humiliating thing I’ve ever been through.”
Finally, she claimed that she only wants Johnny Depp to leave her alone and that she’d like her voice back.
“I just want Johnny to leave me alone.”
“Johnny has taken enough of my voice,” Heard said. “I hope to get my voice back.”
Then, upon being cross-examined by Johnny Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez, Amber Heard made some interesting claims. This included refuting the claims from witnesses, essentially calling everyone who’s testified on Johnny Depp’s behalf a “liar.” With that in mind, a verdict in the trial is scheduled to be determined on Tuesday.
