Disney and Marvel are preparing to release another slew of Marvel Cinematic Universe projects on Disney Plus. One of their shows expected to drop in 2022 is She-Hulk, an entire series dedicated to the comic book character of the same name. Tatiana Maslany has been cast in the titular role, where she’ll be playing Jennifer Walters and her She-Hulk alter-ego. Unfortunately, according to new rumors, it sounds like the series might be in trouble due to some behind-the-scenes issues.
This was revealed via insider Jeff Sneider while speaking on The Hot Mic, where he mentioned She-Hulk allegedly ran into trouble during post-production. He noted that he “heard [it] more than once” that “the She-Hulk series is not shaping up to be very good.” With so many Disney Plus projects in the works, it could be hard to see how this one is the only one with issues. But according to Jeff Sneider, that’s indeed the case:
“I’ve heard not good things behind-the-scenes… and I’ve asked whether it’s Moon Knight or Ms. Marvel or Secret Invasion or any of these [projects], they are always like, ‘She-Hulk is the one that could be a problem.'”
Of course, he also offered some optimism on the matter. He insists that everything could work out in the end, and that it probably isn’t the only Marvel project which ran into such issues. As he elaborated:
“… I’ve heard it from people working on it, from people actually working on it who are just like, ‘We’ll see.’ I think that’s a lot of Marvel things, honestly, and you know where it’s just like, ‘Ugh, this could be really stupid, like we’ll see.’ I’m sure people making Guardians of the Galaxy felt that way, right? And most of the time [Marvel] pulls it out. But there will come a time where they won’t, that’s just the laws of moviemaking, the laws of numbers.”
Ultimately, at this point, it could go either way. So fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for updates on She-Hulk as we have them. Hopefully the project pulls through whatever issues it’s going through, and that the show is a hit for fans. She-Hulk is currently scheduled for a release date on Disney Plus sometime later this year.
