After the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans were truly amazed. The recently-released Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster managed to reintroduce both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, tying the MCU with both of their franchises and respective continuities. It was something most fans never thought would happen, but thanks to the Multiverse, it finally became possible. Now fans are eager to see Sony continue the further adventures of these other Spider-Man iterations, especially Andrew Garfield. In fact, fans launched a campaign to try and get Sony to make such a film, with “#MakeTASM3” having trended a variety of times. Now Sony has commented on The Amazing Spider-Man 3 fan campaign.
For better or worse, however, their response isn’t quite what fans might be hoping for. While Sony acknowledged that they’ve seen the hashtag, via Twitter, they didn’t have much good news to offer beyond that. In fact, they said they “don’t decide which movies get made.”
Here’s what they specifically said while sharing a clip of “The Amazing Peter #3!” aka, Andrew Garfield’s Peter Parker:
“Note: Yes, we’ve seen the hashtag. No, we don’t decide which movies get made. We’re just the social team.”

While this might be disappointing news for some, it does indicate that Sony is well-aware of the fan campaign to get The Amazing Spider-Man 3 off the ground. As such, it’s only a matter of time before the studio itself comments on the matter. Especially if their social team is already aware. Thus, if fans continue to show their support and desire to see Andrew Garfield return yet again as Spider-Man, then they may just get their wish. We’ve already made it this far, so truthfully, anything is possible.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available digitally. The physical release which includes 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD copies of the film, will be released on April 12, 2022.
