Yes, Nicolas Cage will be playing a fictionalized version of himself in the upcoming film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. And now fans can see the new red band trailer for the film down below.
The footage reveals quite a few details about the plot, which includes Nicolas Cage accepting a $1 million offer to attend a fan’s birthday party invitation. Interestingly, however, things take a turn and Nicolas Cage is sent on a mission against his newfound friend by the CIA. It’s definitely the type of film that Nicolas Cage fans are going to want to see.

The film was first announced several years ago, so it’s nice to see that its release is finally coming soon. Of course, Nicolas Cage hasn’t exactly been absent during all of that time – in fact, he’s been working harder than ever in Hollywood. With so many amazing roles coming left and right from the iconic actor, it’s perhaps the best time now to get a film like The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. After all, it sounds like the perfect tribute to the actor – especially if this new trailer is anything to go by.
Tom Gormican directed the film from a screenplay he wrote with Kevin Etten.
Aside from Nicolas Cage, the film also stars Pedro Pascal, Sharon Horgan, Ike Barinholtz, Alessandra Mastronardi, Jacob Scipio, Lily Sheen, Neil Patrick Harris, and Tiffany Haddish.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent is scheduled for a theatrical release date on April 22, 2022.
