Many fans are excited for the upcoming AMC Plus series Interview with the Vampire, which will adapt the book of the same name by author Anne Rice. The original novel has had an incredible impact on the vampire subgenre, and even became the basis for the 1994 film of the same name. Now AMC will not only adapt Interview with the Vampire for television, but they have acquired the rights to many of Anne Rice’s other books. As such, it seems highly likely that this is only the first of what will be multiple adaptations of her Vampire Chronicles series. Now you can see the first footage for Interview with the Vampire down below.
Of course, it’s worth noting that this footage for the upcoming Interview with the Vampire series is incredibly brief. The clip is merely part of a larger promo for AMC’s catalogue of shows. Nevertheless, it does give an inviting glimpse at the gothic horror that’s about to be streamed to our television screens.
As you can see in the promo below released by AMC Plus on Twitter:
Iconic characters. Epic new worlds. Legendary series.

Now that we’ve received the first bit of footage for the series, it probably won’t be much longer before more looks at the upcoming Interview with the Vampire series are given. The show is scheduled to be released at some point in 2022, so this is probably only the beginning of what will be a very enticing marketing campaign. As such, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for updates on the series as we have them. Until then, this footage is a great tease.
Aside from having acquired the entirety of the Vampire Chronicles catalogue, AMC also has rights to Anne Rice’s The Lives of The Mayfair Witches series. They have a separate show in the works to begin adapting that property as well.
