Marvel Cinematic Universe actors Sebastian Stan and Tom Holland have maintained a friendly rivalry with one another over the years. It hasn’t been unusual for either of the two actors to deliver a good-hearted jab at one another. Now Sebastian Stan has delivered the latest instance, targeting Tom Holland after the successful release of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
In an interview with Jake’s Takes, Sebastian Stan took the time to explain he hasn’t yet seen Spider-Man: No Way Home. Funnily enough, this isn’t because of Tom Holland. In actuality, he explains that he just hasn’t seen it because he hasn’t been to a theater. He further noted just what it is about the film that seems so appealing.
As noted below:
“I haven’t seen (Spider-Man: No Way Home) yet because I haven’t been to a theater. I haven’t managed to go to a theater yet, but I do want to see it because I love the idea that it brings back all these characters from the past and just seeing all of them are going to interact in that one movie.”
At this point, however, is when Sebastian Stan manages to troll Spider-Man actor Tom Holland. Without missing a beat, he states the following line with perfect timing:
“But I typically don’t like to support Tom Holland so it’s difficult. I support the films, but not him so much.”
It’s worth noting that these comments aren’t intended to be taken seriously. The two actors have been openly making fun of one another in good humor for years now. And, considering this comes just after the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, we can expect the two are going to keep continuing their friendly rivalry. With that in mind, it’ll be interesting to see if Tom Holland has any good responses up his sleeve for the Winter Soldier actor.
The massive MCU film Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently playing in theaters.
