Fans are finally able to see Spider-Man: No Way Home, the highly anticipated follow-up to Spider-Man: Far From Home. Thankfully, just because it’s the third film in Marvel’s trilogy, it isn’t the end of the MCU’s Spider-Man. In fact, the film ends in such a way that the character can go virtually anywhere next. While that ending has been both sad but exciting, it does look like there was also an alternate ending for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Of course, it’s worth noting that this alternate ending for Spider-Man: No Way Home has yet to be confirmed. As such, the following information should be taken with a grain of salt. But according to a post on 4chan, the film would have ended with a much different spell and thus outcome from Doctor Strange.
Here’s what the post described:
“>Alternative ending where Strange sends the trespassers back to their universes without casting a new spell and Peter’s identity remains public. Peter graduates high school, but still breaks up with MJ and distances himself from her and Ned to protect them for his enemies.”
The post continued to describe a variety of alternate and deleted scenes, some of which were hinted at in the original trailers for the film. While that does seem to give these alleged leaks a little more authenticity, it isn’t exactly a confirmation. So, as stated above, this information should be taken with a grain of salt. But it definitely sounds like an interesting way to end Spider-Man: No Way Home, and it still sounds like it’d be a great starting point for a new series of movies. Luckily, however, we’ll still be getting to see more of Tom Holland’s Peter Parker – so perhaps everything did ultimately work out as it should have.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe film Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently available in theaters.
