Spider-Man: No Way Home is right around the corner, finally about to hit theaters after the abysmal delays of 2020 that pushed this film back until now. The most anticipated movie of all time, the film’s marketing has been arguably the most skeleton of campaigns in all of modern Hollywood. That lack of information in the middle of the social media renaissance has led to a plethora of rumors and leaks and lies about this film that permeate every corner of the internet. The stars (and potential stars) of the movie have been bombarded with questions about said rumors and they have become experts at avoiding answers. Zendaya is one such expert.
During an interview with Extra, the theory of Zendaya’s MJ being rescued by Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man in the upcoming movie – something that fans of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 didn’t go so well when he tried to rescue Gwen Stacy at the end of that movie.
Zendaya responded to the theory, saying:
“Yeah, I’ve gotten to see all of them. People are so creative. Honestly, so creative. There you go, who knows?”
At this point, with the film just days away, fans are ready for all of this hoopla over rumors and leaks to be done and just enjoy the film as a whole. The stars are certainly in the same boat, ready to stop having to be so secretive and to stop having to be asked about rumors and spoilers and more. This film will be a landmark for many reasons, including the lack of marketing, the insane rumor mill, and the numbers this film will make.
The movie will have major repercussions for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters, and cinema as a whole. And as far as the Gwen Stacy death rumor for Zendaya’s MJ, we will all get a solid answer come December 17th when Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters to break every box office record in the history of Hollywood.
