It seems the news for Spider-Man and related characters isn’t stopping any time soon. A brand new clip from the film Morbius, based on the Spider-Man villain of the same name, has just been released! The new scene shows a moment in which Dr. Michael Morbius transforms into the sinister “Living Vampire” for which he is known!
It’s an exciting bit of footage and should definitely excite fans of the character. With the film scheduled for a release date next month, fans shouldn’t have much longer to wait.
Here’s the clip that you can see for yourselves down below. It’s worth noting that the following caption was added to the video, emphasizing the ambiguity surrounding the iconic character and how he’ll be used in this new film:
“Is he here to save the world or destroy it? Watch Dr. Michael Morbius and his sinister alter-ego in this exclusive scene.”

This clip from Morbius is definitely interesting, especially considering it apparently takes place in the same continuity as Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. As for how it will potentially tie in with the grander Marvel Cinematic Universe, only time will tell. Luckily, there shouldn’t be much more of a wait until then.
In the new film…
“Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed and transforms this healer into a hunter.”
Daniel Espinosa directed Morbius from a screenplay written by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama.
Aside from the aforementioned Jared Leto, the confirmed cast for the film also includes Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal, and Tyrese Gibson.
The highly anticipated film Morbius is currently scheduled for a January 28, 2022 release date early next year.
