Although the Netflix series Daredevil remains cancelled, fans have been anxiously waiting for the beloved superhero to make his way back to the main Marvel Cinematic Universe. After all, at a time when villains from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy are entering the MCU – it doesn’t seem that far-fetched. Now it seems a sneaky Daredevil Easter Egg was just spotted in the first episode of Hawkeye, further teasing the potential reappearance of Matt Murdock and his associated characters.
This Easter Egg was mentioned via Twitter user @SchmoedownSaul, where they noted one of the locations from Hawkeye is actually the same spot where Wilson Fisk lives in the third season of Daredevil. It’s an interesting connection, and one which seems to indicate that a Daredevil character other than Matt Murdock might be making a comeback.
As you can see below:
I can’t be the only one who noticed right?
In Ep.1 of Hawkeye, the hotel where the party & underground auction take place, is in season 3 of Daredevil, the home of Wilson Fisk.
You can look it up IRL the address is 455 Madison Ave NY, NY 10022. pic.twitter.com/HFohNitZzQ

Of course, there’s always the possibility that the location might’ve been reused accidentally for the Disney Plus series. The production team might’ve not even noticed what so many eagle-eyed fans were able to pick up on. But then again, considering Hawkeye character Echo is involved with both Daredevil and Kingpin in the Marvel comics – there’s the possibility they could be building towards the re-arrival of those characters.
Of course, we’ll just have to see what happens and what kinds of cards are up Marvel’s sleeves. But if this is an intentional Easter Egg, then we’ll probably know the answers sooner rather than later. As such, fans can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for updates as we have them.
The cast for Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner as the titular superhero and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop. Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez also star.
As of this writing, the first two episodes of Hawkeye are currently streaming on Disney Plus. Fans can expect new episodes to be added weekly every Wednesday.
