In a rather tragic announcement, it’s been confirmed that Bones and NCIS actor Heath Freeman is now dead at age 41. As of this writing, however, there’s been no cause of death or an exact date given.
This information comes via THR, where Heath Freeman’s own management team gave the news.
His manager, Joe Montifiore, gave the following statement via Freeman’s management team:
“We are truly devastated at the loss of our beloved Heath Freeman,” Freeman’s team began. “A brilliant human being with an intense and soulful spirit, he leaves us with an indelible imprint in our hearts. His life was filled with deep loyalty, affection, and generosity towards his family and friends, and an extraordinary zest for life.”
The statement further continued:
“He was extremely proud of his recent film work and was very excited for the next chapter of his career. His remarkable legacy as a son, brother, uncle, friend, extraordinarily gifted actor and producer, consummate cook, and man with the most infectious and spectacular laugh will live on forever. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.”
Aside from the TV shows Bones and NCIS, Heath Freeman had quite a varied career on both television and in film. The actor had guest roles in Tru Calling, The Closer, and Without a Trace in the early years of his career. He further played in Raising the Bar and eventually had some recent big screen parts. This included the film Dark Was the Night, and the recently released The Seventh Day and Twelve Mighty Orphans.
According to THR, it appears that Heath Freeman also shot footage for the upcoming Gina Carano vehicle Terror on the Prairie.
With a career that also included writing and producing, Heath Freeman has definitely left his mark on the entertainment industry. As such, it’s definitely tragic to hear of his passing at such a young age.
