With so much information about Spider-Man: No Way Home coming out, it looks like another MCU film is next to have details leaked. This time it’s none other than Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the upcoming sequel to Doctor Strange. The new film has a lot of anticipation with its promise of exploring the multiverse, and now it looks like we might know which villain Doctor Strange will be facing this time around. While he’s already been alleged to be the villain of the film, a newly leaked puzzle listing apparently confirms it. Yes, it looks like Shuma-Gorath will be the main villain for Doctor Strange 2.
As revealed by a recent puzzle listing at Australian website Booktopia revealed the character. The product is an adult coloring pad paired with a 1000 piece puzzle, and the cover art clearly shows the tentacled monster Shuma-Gorath that’s long been rumored to appear in the film. Yes, this definitely seems like a confirmation that he will be appearing.
This is exciting because we recently got our first glimpse at Shuma-Gorath in the Disney Plus series What If…?. So while we don’t know much about the overall plot for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we at least have an idea of who Doctor Strange and friends will be fighting. And it’s definitely the perfect villain for a film that’s introducing the “Multiverse of Madness.” You just can’t do any better than Shuma-Gorath for such a concept.
Sam Raimi directed Doctor Strange 2 from a screenplay written by Jade Bartlett and Michael Waldron.
The cast for the film includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Xochitl Gomez.
Audiences will be able to see the highly anticipated sequel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, when it hits theaters on May 6, 2022.
