It appears that Gina Carano is not having an easy time with Hollywood. The controversial actress was first fired from The Mandalorian and other Disney productions and making a post that compared being Republican to being a Jew during the Holocaust – as well as other posts the company deemed controversial. Now, it looks like trouble has followed her to her next project – though this time, it’s due to a completely different issue.
As fans probably already know, Gina Carano was soon recruited by The Daily Wire after Disney fired her. Their goal was to create movies that would attempt to fight “leftist causes.” It seemed like an interesting way to counteract the way mainstream Hollywood blacklisted her. However, due to vaccine mandates, it looks like this next movie isn’t happening any time soon.
As revealed via The Daily Wire, they planned to make a revenge thriller about truckers titled White Knuckle. But due to these federal vaccine mandates, they decided to shift focus onto another project instead.
“With the precariousness of the current Hollywood landscape and the remarkable overreach by its ruling class, we made the tough, but prudent choice to ride further out into the wild west to make movies on our own terms,” he said, adding, “The Daily Wire has given Gina and our team all the support any producers could ask for. Now, we must go make them proud by producing something that is truly great.”
So while Gina Carano’s next movie White Knuckle has been delayed, it seems that she still has another film on the way. Whether or not production goes smoothly, however, is yet to be seen. But assuming everything goes as planned by The Daily Wire, then we could be expecting to see this new movie quite soon.
The new film, titled Terror on the Prairie, will focus on Gina Carano as a pioneer leading her family against a group of vicious outlaws. The project is being planned for a release on the Daily Wire website sometime in 2022. As such, those interested can stay tuned to ScreenGeek for updates on the project and Gina Carano’s career trajectory as we have them.
