The Friday the 13th film franchise has sadly lost one of its original final girls. It’s been revealed that Lar Park Lincoln, who played Tina Shepard in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, has died at age 63.
This news was confirmed by Actors Audition Studios, which Lincoln founded, via Facebook. Their statement confirms that she passed away on April 22, 2025. With a career that has spanned nearly five decades, the passing of Lincoln is a massive loss for the industry.
Though it wasn’t her first role, 1988’s Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood certainly made Lar Park Lincoln into an icon for horror fans. Lincoln’s character, Tina, was one of the most unique final girls for the franchise. She not only had to become the first new lead since Tommy Jarvis was introduced in the franchise’s fourth film, but she was one with telekinetic powers that allowed her to battle Jason Voorhees head-on.
Similarly, she also took on the world of fellow major horror icon Freddy Krueger in an episode of the underrated anthology series Freddy’s Nightmares. Lincoln co-starred in one of the show’s most memorable episodes, It’s a Miserable Life, alongside John Cameron Mitchell. The episode was also directed by Tom McLoughlin, who fans will recognize for having directed the sixth installment in the Friday the 13th series.
Other notable film roles from Lincoln include The Princess Academy, House II: The Second Story, Fatal Charm, and the fan film Rose Blood in which she reprised her role as Tina Shepard. Other television efforts include appearances in Murder, She Wrote and Beverly Hills, 90210.
Lincoln is survived by two children and four grandchildren as well as her poodle, Charlie as well as other family and friends. She’ll also certainly be remembered by the horror community and other film and television fans for years to come.
