With production finally underway on Avengers: Doomsday, fans are ecstatic to see how the movie turns out. Marvel Studios already made a big splash by announcing a large portion of cast members that are expected to be seen in the film. However, they didn’t give out a complete list, and now one unannounced MCU actor was spotted near the filming location for Avengers: Doomsday.
Obviously this isn’t the same as an official cast announcement. However, it could certainly mean this particular actor is set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday. Only time will tell, but they were spotted quite close to a star that is confirmed to be appearing in the highly-anticipated Avengers flick.
While the image itself is relatively casual, the significance is hard to ignore. It’s possible that the two were simply attending the same gathering, but considering how tightly Marvel controls its PR, it seems more likely that there’s a deliberate connection being hinted at here.
As revealed in the below social media photo:

The photo, which was first shared by Tessa Thompson on her Instagram Story, seems to depict her sitting on the shoulders of fellow Marvel actor Pedro Pascal. Pascal is currently working on Avengers: Doomsday, with his involvement being announced in Marvel Studios’ official cast announcement stream. He’ll be appearing as Reed Richards following his introduction alongside other cast members in the upcoming film Fantastic Four: The First Steps.
As for Thompson, she previously played Valkyrie in several appearances including the Thor film series, so it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if she was involved with Avengers: Doomsday. While that remains to be confirmed, we at least know she had a good time celebrating Pascal’s birthday, where he turned 50-years-old on April 2.
There are currently 27 cast members announced for Avengers: Doomsday. The film currently sees the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Thunderbolts coming together to face Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. As such, there’s certainly still plenty of room for other faces to appear.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters next year on May 1, 2026. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the highly-anticipated blockbuster event as we have them. For now, it looks like the film could have quite a few surprising characters that previously weren’t expected.
