Fans were recently treated to the first teaser for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The positively-received footage gave us a look at a retro-futuristic world with several familiar comic book heroes. Now the full trailer for the MCU‘s upcoming film The Fantastic Four: First Steps has been released, which happens to include our first look at Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer.
In addition to the reveal of Garner’s Silver Surfer, her inclusion naturally leads to our first glimpse at Galactus, the film’s primary antagonist. There are also some other story beats teased, specifically Sue Storm’s surprise pregnancy, which could offer even more surprises for the MCU in the future.

It’s clear that The Fantastic Four: First Steps is going to be a massive step forward not only for the titular Fantastic Four, but for the MCU as a whole, especially with projects like Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars in the works. In fact, the Fantastic Four are confirmed to be returning for at least Doomsday, so it’s likely this film will equally be setting up that crossover event with Robert Downey Jr.’s MCU return as Doctor Doom.
Matt Shakman directed The Fantastic Four: First Steps from a screenplay written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer, Josh Friedman, Cameron Squires, Eric Pearson, and Peter Cameron.
In addition to Julia Garner as Silver Surfer, the cast of the film includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm aka the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm aka The Thing.
