The Predator film franchise is preparing a return to theaters later this year with Predator: Badlands. Ahead of that film’s release, however, fans will be getting an additional treat with the animated movie Predator: Killer of Killers. As you can see below, the new trailer for Predator: Killer of Killers reveals a release date for the animated film on Hulu.
Dan Trachtenberg, who successfully rejuvenated the Predator film franchise with his hit film Prey, returned for both of the aforementioned projects. While working on the next live-action installment of the film franchise, subtitled Badlands, he was able to remotely direct the animated feature. While Badlands tells a singular story, Predator: Killer of Killers will be an anthology film with several time periods and narratives depicted.

The film depicts three different vignettes from human history and how they have interacted with the titular alien species in the past. As revealed in the official synopsis:
“Predator: Killer of Killers, an original animated action-adventure film set in the Predator universe, will premiere June 6th, 2025, exclusively on Hulu. The anthology story follows three of the fiercest warriors in human history: a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge, a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession, and a WWII pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause. But while all these warriors are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent – the ultimate killer of killers.”
It’s exciting to think that Prey was a successful enough endeavor that so many new Predator concepts are being explored. Fans are not only getting a new live-action film separate from the Prey storyline, but this clever new animated feature that will deliver what fans have wanted for decades after so many comics and books established the possibility of Predators hunting in different time periods.
Dan Trachtenberg co-directed Predator: Killer of Killers with Josh Wassung. The screenplay was written by Trachtenberg and Micho Robert Rutare. The voice cast includes Lindsay LaVanchy, Louis Ozawa, Rick Gonzalez, and Michael Biehn.
Predator: Killer of Killers will be available to stream via Hulu and Hulu on Disney Plus on June 6, 2025.
