As with any network or television platform, CBS is consistently curating its content for any number of reasons. This doesn’t make it any less disappointing for viewers, however, when they discover their favorite shows have been canceled. Now CBS has canceled two series from their network lineup – both of which are from the same franchise.
It’s already a disappointment, as mentioned, when you learn your favorite show has been axed. For fans of this particular franchise, however, they’re going to be especially disappointed to learn two such shows are going off the air.
Specific details regarding why CBS canceled each series have yet to be released. However, it seems as though ratings simply weren’t as strong as they once were. That’s as solid a reason as any in the world of television, and as such, viewers will have to accept that these shows are on their final seasons.
This is what a report was able to reveal regarding both shows which will not be returning for the 2025-26 TV season after their respective seasons are wrapped up via TVLine:
“FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International have both been cancelled, and will not be returning for the 2025-26 TV season.”
It’s unknown how either series is set to wrap up their respective storylines, if at all, but both shows are still in production for their current seasons. FBI: Most Wanted is airing its sixth season while FBI: International is airing its fourth season.
Fortunately, not all hope is lost for fans of the FBI franchise. The original FBI series is still moving forward due to a three-season renewal, and as such, it is expected to move forward at least until its ninth season in 2027. After that, however, it remains to be seen what could happen next with the brand.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the latest television renewals and cancellations as we have them. For now, viewers can still watch FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International as they continue airing throughout the 2025-26 season.
