With so many movies available to stream on Max, it can often be difficult when deciding what to watch next. However, subscribers might not have that issue when they add one of the best movies of 2024 to their streaming service next month.
On the 21st of March, subscribers will have access to a movie that performed extraordinarily well last year. In fact, it just happened to score three total Oscar nominations for 2025, including Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Original Song.
With such an enticing story, intriguing real-world influences, and various accolades under its belt, the movie should make a perfect addition for anyone’s watchlist next month on Max or HBO. Whether audiences are viewing the film for the first time or watching it again because it’s just that good, it will no doubt perform well once added to the platform.
As shared via Deadline, the film being added to Max is the following title:
“A24’s prison theater drama Sing Sing, starring Colman Domingo, is set to begin streaming exclusively on Max on March 21.”
The outlet adds that Sing Sing will also be available to view on March 22 for HBO. For those unfamiliar, the film which stars Colman Domingo as Divine G, follows his character after being wrongfully imprisoned at New York’s Sing Sing Correctional Facility. Eventually while there, Divine G joins a theatre group alongside other prisoners.
Interestingly, the film has some real-life influences including the real-world Rehabilitation Through the Arts program at Sing Sing in New York. Furthermore, the film also utilizes some former real-life prisoners of Sing Sing who were part of their Rehabilitation Through the Arts program.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding Max and the latest titles being added to the service, including both movies and shows. Those interested in Sing Sing will be able to stream the film via Max on March 21, 2025.
