It can be a shock to realize the first Final Destination film was released twenty-five years ago in 2000. Now, all this time later, fans will finally be able to experience the sixth film in the franchise. The all-new trailer for Final Destination: Bloodlines, the first film in the series in fourteen years, can be viewed below.
A sixth film in the beloved horror series has been in the works for quite some time. The fifth film, a prequel to the original modern classic, seemed to bring things full circle. Now, as the trailer below reveals, the creative team behind the new sequel have finally figured out a way to bring Death back for another round of creative and suspenseful demises.
The footage is certainly a darkly comedic reminder of everything fans love about the franchise. It also brings to mind just how long we’ve all been waiting to return to the Final Destination world. Fortunately, fans only have a few months left of waiting before the new sequel hits theaters in May.

Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein directed the sixth installment from a screenplay written by Lori Evans Taylor and Guy Busick. Jon Watts is attached as a producer on the film alongside Dianne McGunigle and returning franchise producers Craig Perry and Sheila Hanahan Taylor.
The cast of Final Destination: Bloodlines offers an ensemble of new victims and one familiar face. Brec Bassinger, Teo Briones, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Richard Harmon, Anna Lore, Owen Patrick Joyner, Max Lloyd-Jones, Rya Kihlsedt, and Tinpo Lee all star in the film. Late actor Tony Todd is also appearing in the film as franchise favorite William Bludworth.
Fans will be able to see Final Destination: Bloodlines when the new film hits theaters on May 16, 2025.
