Peacock Cancels New Series After One Season

Peacock, much like other modern streaming services, is constantly trying to curate the content made available on their platform. This means that there are just as many unfortunate cancellations as there are renewals. Now Peacock has made the decision to cancel one new series after only releasing one season on their streaming service.

What’s surprising about this decision is that it was made for a series with a major cast and crew behind it. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to be enough to keep viewers engaged – despite offering an impressive cast, crew, and set of guests.

The series was actually created by none other than Mike Judge, Zach Woods, and Brandon Gardner. With its guests that include Kaia Gerber, Ken Burns, Finn Wolfhard, and Mike Tyson among others, it’s quite a lineup for one season.

Here’s what Deadline had to share regarding the cancellation of the Peacock series:

“Peacock has canceled In the Know, its first foray into adult animation that combined stop-motion animation and live-action interviews.”

While Peacock greenlit the series in an effort to produce more adult animation for its service, it seems that In the Know simply didn’t perform as desired by the platform.

In addition to some of the aforementioned guests who appeared for the live-action interview segments, In the Know also had a voice cast which included such talents as Woods, Judge, Caitlin Reilly, Charlie Bushnell, J. Smith Cameron, and Carl Tart. The cancellation comes close to a year since the series was first released with its one and only season having been released on January 25, 2024.

Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding Peacock as we have them. While the series In the Know has been unfortunately axed after one mere season, there are still plenty of other shows being produced and renewed for the platform. For fans of In the Know, they can continue to watch the sole season of the series via Peacock.
