Elon Musk has become a controversial subject for numerous reasons over the last few years. However, his recent support of Donald Trump during the United States presidential election brought things to another level. As such, Saturday Night Live took the time to include an Elon Musk impression – and he didn’t have anything good to say about SNL as a result.
In fact, Elon Musk took his criticism of SNL to X, where he emphasized that the show “has been dying slowly for years.” Musk, who also owns X having rebranded it from its original Twitter title, made the statement on a post which shared the Saturday Night Live video.
Dana Carvey was the one who chose to impersonate Musk on the show, which also included jokes about Musk attending Trump’s Pennsylvania rally. Carvey also said the following in an attempt to sound like Musk:
“America’s going to be like one of my rockets: you know, they’re super cool and super fun. But there’s a slight chance it could blow up and everybody dies. Ha ha ha.”
As such, Musk responded with the following:
“SNL has been dying slowly for years, as they become increasingly out of touch with reality,” he begins.
“Their last-ditch effort to cheat the equal airtime requirements and prop up Kamala before the election only helped sink her campaign further.”

Musk replied elsewhere on the social media platform X to share his thoughts on the skit. One user, who wrote about the “MAGA” hat worn by Carvey in the skit, received the following tweet from Musk about how mad the cast of SNL must be:
They are so mad that @realDonaldTrump won 🤣🤣

In another post, he criticizes Carvey’s impression by saying he only sounds like himself:
Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey

Of course, with Trump having won the election, we’ll have to see what kind of viral comments Elon Musk will be making in the future. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates as we have them.
