Disney Plus is home to a number of different Marvel films and shows, with many of their different series produced exclusively for the streaming service. Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean all of their shows are consistently renewed, and it’s now been revealed that Disney has canceled a Marvel series after producing two seasons for Disney Plus.
It’s become quite common for streaming services to cancel shows for any number of reasons, which can be disappointing for fans. For this particular series, however, the second season is still ongoing until 2025. Thus viewers will still have some episodes to look forward to before the series comes to a complete stop.
As shared via @owlphibia on the social media platform X, whose tweets were then retweeted from Disney employees familiar with this Marvel series and even received a few responses from them:
fyi: afaik it does NOT end on a cliffhanger.

The user explained that Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur will allegedly not end on a cliffhanger, but that the last half of its second season will be the final batch of episodes for the show. Interestingly, they were originally ordered as a third season, which explains the delay.
As mentioned, some Disney employees responded to the news, with one saying “a bunch of us at Disney knew about this for so long but couldn’t outright say it. The MoonGirl production area was a ghost town for over a year.”
What sucks is that a bunch of us at Disney knew about this for so long but couldn’t outright say it. The MoonGirl production area was a ghost town for over a year 🙁 https://t.co/RlAcHRZX7Q

The series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur first premiered in 2023. The second season premiered a year later in 2024, with the final episodes being ran in early 2025.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional Marvel news or any other Disney Plus updates as we have them. While Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur is coming to an end, fans will hopefully still be happy to know that the series told a complete story within its two seasons and that a proper conclusion is expected.
