Disney Plus subscribers are in the midst of watching the latest project from Marvel Studios – the Disney Plus series Agatha All Along – which follows the events of WandaVision. Now the new Marvel series has confirmed the death of a MCU character that comes as a surprise to fans.
After all, fans have been paying close attention to the storylines that started long before Agatha All Along began airing. WandaVision itself launched the narratives for several major characters, some of which we’re still waiting to see, including Vision who is set to be the focus of their own Disney Plus series currently in the works.
For now, however, the second episode of Agatha All Along confirms the death of a MCU character, and surprisingly, it’s apparently happened in a rather unexpected way. Of course, given the twisted odds and ends of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially in recent years, it might not be too surprising.
This character can be traced back to the first episode of WandaVision. The character, known as both Todd Davis and Arthur Hart, was portrayed by Fred Melamed. He played Vision’s boss and also had dinner with Vision and Wanda alongside his wife, Sharon Davis, played by Debra Jo Rupp.
It’s Rupp’s character that reappears in the second episode of Agatha All Along to pick up the storyline of her husband. However, there’s not much to share, as she merely mentions that she hasn’t “been to a party since Mr. Davis passed away.”
Of course, his character nearly passed away during the events of WandaVision, when he was just barely saved from choking by Vision. Interestingly, this was the last time we see of the character, with Debra Jo Rupp’s Sharon Davis later shown to be alone drinking coffee in the show’s eighth episode.
As such, Mr. Davis became a common topic of conversation for being such a mysterious character. Many fans even suspected he could have died prior to the events of WandaVision – being someone that Wanda could have revived much like she did with Vision. While the time of his death has yet to be revealed, however, we at least do know that he has certainly passed away.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional MCU updates as we have them. Though this might not be too major of a revelation for Agatha All Along, the series is only just beginning its run on Disney Plus, and it’s likely much bigger reveals are set to come in the near future. As such, we’ll have to see what happens going forward.
