Linkin Park has officially welcomed Emily Armstrong, vocalist of the band Dead Sara, as their new co-lead singer. The band revealed this during a livestream event on September 5, 2024, along with the announcement of their new album, From Zero, set for release on November 15.
Additionally, producer Colin Brittain joins the band as their new drummer. Linkin Park also dropped a new single, “The Emptiness Machine,” and announced a six-city arena tour starting in Los Angeles on September 11th. This decision comes after a period of reflection and transformation following the tragic passing of Chester Bennington in 2017.
Mike Shinoda says:
“Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking. Sonically and emotionally, it is about past, present, and future — embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life. It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and longtime bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans. We are proud of what Linkin Park has become over the years, and excited about the journey ahead.”
