Blake Lively stars in the upcoming movie It Ends With Us alongside Justin Baldoni. While the two play characters that are intended to have a great chemistry in the film, it turns out that events behind-the-scenes were quite different. In fact, Blake Lively reportedly felt “fat-shamed” by her co-star.
The alleged “fat-shaming” occurred when the two were preparing to shoot a scene together. The scene required Baldoni to lift up Lively into the air. In order to prepare himself, given a reported history of back problems, it led him to ask his on-set trainer about Lively’s weight.
Here’s how the situation was described by TMZ:
“Justin has a history of back problems and before lifting Blake, he went to his on-set trainer and asked how much she weighed and how could he train to protect his back from injury.”
The outlet adds that Blake Lively “later found out about Justin’s comment and felt he fat-shamed her.” They emphasize that the “comment really bothered Blake.”
Additionally, there seems to have been a second alleged incident during the production that made Lively, who is married to Ryan Reynolds, “uncomfortable.” This particular moment occurred when both Lively and Baldoni shared a kiss scene together:
“The second incident that allegedly made Blake uncomfortable on set is when the two engaged in a kissing scene and Blake felt he lingered longer than he should have with the kiss.”
However, the outlet does mention several cast and crew members have defended Baldoni. While there does seem to have been unexpected drama during the production, it could be exaggerated regarding these claims. As such, we’ll have to see what happens.
