    Jon Bernthal Trained With Former Punisher Actor Thomas Jane For ‘Daredevil: Born Again’

    Actor Jon Bernthal is set to reprise his role as The Punisher in the upcoming MCU Disney Plus series Daredevil: Born Again. He previously played the role for the original Daredevil series on Netflix and his own Punisher spin-off series. Now, interestingly enough, it’s been shared that Jon Bernthal actually trained with another Punisher actor – Thomas Jane – to prepare for Daredevil: Born Again.

    This exciting development was actually revealed by Bernthal himself while he appeared at GalaxyCon Raleigh. This was reiterated by Screen Rant on social media as you can see below, and while they didn’t share many details about the training process, they were able to include a very cool image.

    The image, included in the post below, features both Jon Bernthal and Thomas Jane training together prior to the production start for Daredevil: Born Again. It’s incredibly great to see the two actors together, especially since they each have so many fans for their respective takes on the iconic Marvel character.

    The hype for the image also brought to light a similar social media post from 2023, which features a video of Jon Bernthal and Thomas Jane training with firearms together. It’s another impressive sight for any fan of The Punisher and his various film and television counterparts:

    While Bernthal appeared in the aforementioned MCU projects and has an appearance scheduled for Daredevil: Born Again, Thomas Jane had far less time as the character. However, his role wasn’t any less impactful, with 2004’s The Punisher often considered a massive cult favorite and a Marvel adaptation that paved the way for the stand-alone Punisher: War Zone and what would eventually become Bernthal’s run as the character.
