With so many upcoming Marvel projects on the way, it can be exciting to consider where some fan-favorite characters might appear next. Now one such Marvel actor has teased a big return to the MCU, something that many fans weren’t even sure would ever happen again.
The MCU seems to always be adapting and evolving, with some projects being dropped or altered as a result. For example, it seems as though a sequel to Eternals is now off the table, and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty has been turned into Avengers: Doomsday. There are also questions regarding the MCU’s Blade movie and whether or not that will ever get off the ground.
One such star and her future in the MCU has been held under a similar kind of ambiguity. As revealed in a new interview, however, it looks like we can expect her to make a return to the world of Marvel. Here’s what was shared in an interview with The Playlist:
“I just loved being with those ladies so much,” says Captain Marvel star Brie Larson about her co-stars in The Marvels.
“And I think that the sentiment of it is so right to me and is much more where I’m at in my life, which is, there’s no one superhero that can save us. It takes all kinds of people that have their own special skill sets and the ability to understand that the brink of disaster cannot be stopped by one. It’s all of us coming together. So that feels really right to me. And you know, as for the future, there’s things that I know, but I can’t tell you.”
As such, we can assume that at least Brie Larson – if not all of her co-stars – will be returning to the MCU at some point. In the meantime, it’s nice to see that Larson is so positive about her role in the franchise, even after The Marvels underperformed at the box office.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional MCU updates, including those regarding Brie Larson and her role as Captain Marvel, as we have them. Though it’s unclear where exactly she’ll end up next in the franchise, we definitely know there are more Captain Marvel appearances on the way.
