The fourth season of the hit Amazon Prime series The Boys recently came to an end. Naturally, fans are excited for the fifth season of the series, which is also now known to be the show’s conclusion. Now star Karl Urban has confirmed when fans can expect The Boys Season 5 to be released.
Karl Urban, who plays Billy Butcher in the hit series from showrunner Eric Kripke, teased the fifth season’s release date in a new Instagram post. The post, which features several behind-the-scenes photos of Urban and co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan, includes the following caption:
“Working with the illustrious @jeffreydeanmorgan was the best part of my day every day,” Karl Urban begins in his post referring to The Boys.
“That’s all @theboystv for now folks,” he continues, before giving the release window for The Boys Season 5:

As such, fans now know they’ll have to wait two years for The Boys Season 5 to hit in 2026. This is certainly a long wait for fans that simply want to see how the series ends. Especially with the way the show’s fourth season went down. Fortunately, there’s still some content set in the same universe as The Boys on the way.
For example, fans can look forward to the second season of Gen V, which the fourth season of The Boys helped set up. Otherwise, while the fifth season is set to conclude the main storyline, there are still other spin-off projects tied to The Boys that are expected to be on the way.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding The Boys as we have them. In the meantime, it looks like we’ll have to wait around two years before the fifth and final season of the series makes it to Amazon Prime.
