While the Marvel Cinematic Universe often blends humor with drama, it’s clear that the upcoming Deadpool movie Deadpool & Wolverine will take those elements to the next level. Additionally, the new sequel will also be taking the franchise’s recent Multiverse elements to the next level as well. This is all on full display with the final Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, which actually emphasizes the drama most of all.
It’s an impressively emotional trailer, one that gives us a glimpse into Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and his place in the film. In fact, it even has several references to the movie Logan, often considered the best Wolverine movie. One such reference confirms a major rumor.
As it turns out, Dafnee Keen returns as X-23 in the new movie. Her character, X-23, was a clone of Jackman’s Logan featured in the film of the same name. Of course, Logan in that film dies, and it’s further confirmed in this trailer that Jackman will be playing a different Wolverine. Either way, fans are no doubt ecstatic to see Keen return alongside Jackman as they join Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.
