Fans have been waiting several years for one beloved HBO series to make its return to television. Now, thankfully, the hit series is finally coming back for another season. However, fans might still have to wait some time before it’ll air on television.
As shared in a new report, it looks like this particular series is set to “begin shooting in January 2025.” For those worried that the series will be changed from preceding seasons, however, they also mention that the show’s “principal cast members” are all set to return.
Here’s what Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO programming and head of HBO drama series and films, had to say about the exciting news via Variety:
“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on ‘Euphoria’ in January. We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of ‘Euphoria’ to life for the fans,” Orsi shared.
Indeed, fans will soon get to see the return of the series Euphoria to HBO. The hit show, which currently consists of two seasons, stars Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Storm Reid, Alexa Demie, and Eric Dane as well as the late Angus Cloud.
With the new season shooting on January, it looks like production will begin as much as three years after the show’s second season premiered. There are plenty of reasons for the third season’s delay in production, with the most notable being the recent WGA strike. However, it looks like things are falling into place for the series to finally get back on track.
Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the return of Euphoria as we have them. For now, it’s exciting to see that the series will finally get back in front of cameras sooner rather than later.
