It’s been confirmed that the popular streaming service Hulu has officially canceled a fan-favorite series. The show, which first premiered on the platform in 2021, made it to three seasons before the platform decided it was time to conclude the show.
This upsetting decision made by Hulu was shared in a new report. According to the outlet, however, it was a mutual decision between Hulu and the family involved with this particular series.
As such, it seems to be a bittersweet situation for fans of the show – but one that seemed to be in the best interest of both parties.
The news was comes from Deadline, who also pointed out that the final episode of the show’s third season foreshadowed this decision:
“The D’Amelio Show, which has run for three seasons on the Disney-backed streamer, will not be returning for a fourth season.”
As mentioned, however, while the decision to have this series canceled was made by Hulu – it was fully supported by the D’Amelio family.
“I’m at a point in my life where I really want to figure out how to balance my work life a little bit more,” said TikTok star Charli D’Amelio. At the same time, her sister Dixie was undergoing a number of medical issues. Charli and Dixie led the series along with their parents Heidi and Marc.
It seems as though the D’Amelio family is ready to move onto new projects. After all, they already made The D’Amelio Show a success, with the series having become “Hulu’s most-watched unscripted series among all first-season reality shows” during its 2021 premiere.
Hopefully more details will be shared soon regarding Charli D’Amelio and her family and what we can expect next. They have plenty of endorsement deals currently ongoing, in addition to their very own D’Amelio Brands, so we should have updates in the near future.
